Upgrading my website

In my original website design i went for a more simplistic and monochrome style, originally making the website a bit basic but still trying to make it look nice in a way that i liked, however that was not my original plan or how i wanted it to look. after some more planning i decided that i wanted the design to be reminiscent of the early days of Microsoft Windows designs, with the pixelated icons, square interfaces and iconic blues and greys that made up the interfaces. i found a free to use and download font online that i downloaded (the one i am using now), and used it as my basis for this design, however i may change this in the future, potentially looking to change the main icon for my website into a classic style word art from microsoft word, i also think i might change the overall font to a much more simplistic and original microsoft style. i decided that i wanted the main page of the website to look akin to a home page for a computer, which i have started doing however i think i may change this around, having a few ideas such as creating a “hot bar” at the bottom to give it that illusion of a home page, potentially also changing the background to a photo, something reminiscent of the old home page background for Microsoft windows. one of the other changes i made was taking all my blog posts from my blogger account and moving them onto my own website. another change i did was adding videos as i felt aspects of the website felt quite still so i made the background for my about page a stock video of a field, something similar to old Microsoft windows backgrounds, as well as adding some other old stock videos in an old pop up style frames on the main blog page.
